Education Seminars

We are concerned about the level of untreated vision problems among older members of our community, due to the lack of awareness of the assistance available.

Eye Trend believes it is our role to educate the community on the importance of regular eye examinations, so we are organizing seminars in our local community to pass on the eye care message.

Lately, we have visited Box Hill Chinese Senior Community Centre. The speech was presented by our Optometrist Consultant Mr Tim Chung.

The Seminar aims:

• Explaining the duties of Optometrists and Ophthalmologists (Eye Specialists).
• Encouraging people to take care of their eyesight and make it a habit to have annual eye examinations.
• Providing information about vision problems such as Cataracts, Diabetes, Glaucoma, and Macular Degeneration, how they can affect older people, and the services available to deal with these problems.

Charity

We also believe in contributing to our community.

For every $1 of net profit the company makes,
we contribute $0.20 to charitable organisations.

These organisations include:

• Optometry Giving Sight
• Red Cross

Eye care to those in need

At Eye Trend we believe in providing eye health services to those in need.

Some of our staff members volunteered in Vanuatu to provide free eye health checks to the local community.
