Contact lenses are great alternative to wearing glasses as they can provide you with more freedom, flexibility and convenience. Many people chose contact lenses in addition to spectacles for their lifestyle needs such as sports, activities and vanity.

As contact lenses are in constant direct contact with the eye, the examination process is more complex and require additional steps in making sure your eyes are healthy and that the lenses are absolutely suitable.

Through our standard eye examination, the optometrist will first assess to ensure that you are able to wear contact lenses. Through additional tests, the optometrist will be able to decide on appropriate contact lenses for you. The optometrist will have to assess the fitting of the contact lenses.

If you have not worn contact lenses before, we will also teach you ways on inserting, removing and looking after your contact lenses. You may have to return to see the optometrist for an after care (usually scheduled one to two weeks after), for which we make sure the lenses are still comfortable and suitable for you after a period of wear.
